Terms of Service - Solco
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of solco.farm and the Solco crop advisory service. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Solco is operated by Rocco Russo, Ordona, Puglia, Italy. Contact: hello@solco.farm | +39 379 263 0288
The service
Solco provides satellite-based crop monitoring and advisory services to agricultural producers. The service includes:
- A daily morning report summarising field conditions based on Sentinel-2 NDVI imagery and weather forecasts
- Drought and heat stress alerts derived from deterministic agronomic rules
- An AI chat assistant accessible via Telegram, WhatsApp, and webchat
Advisory outputs are decision-support tools. They are not a substitute for professional agronomic advice. Satellite revisit cycles are typically every 5 days under clear-sky conditions; field conditions can change faster than that. You are responsible for all farming decisions made using or influenced by this service.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or have been inactive for an extended period with no active subscription.
Your data
You retain full ownership of your farm and field data. You grant Solco a limited licence to process that data solely to deliver the service — including sending field geometries to Sentinel Hub for NDVI retrieval and sending your location to Open-Meteo for weather forecasts.
We do not use your field data to train machine-learning models. We do not sell or share field geometries or agronomic outputs with third parties without your explicit consent. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to register field geometries — for example, if you manage land on behalf of a landowner.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Register fields you do not own, lease, or have authorisation to manage
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-export the satellite data or evalscripts underlying the service
- Resell or sublicence service outputs without a written agreement with Solco
- Attempt to interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or other users' data
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Subscription and payment
The service is provided on a subscription basis at the fees published on the pricing page at the time of your subscription. We may change fees with 30 days' written notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
Payment is processed by our payment provider. Solco does not store payment card data. Refund terms are set out in the Refund Policy.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Satellite imagery depends on third-party providers and atmospheric conditions. Weather forecast data depends on Open-Meteo availability. We are not liable for decisions made based on delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate data from these sources.
Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
Intellectual property
The Solco service, its design, application code, agronomic rule logic, and evalscripts are owned by Solco or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them.
Reports and alerts generated for your specific fields are yours to use for your farming operations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Solco's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.
Solco is not liable for crop losses, yield reductions, livestock losses, or any other agricultural, commercial, or consequential losses, even where you relied on reports or alerts generated by the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Foggia, Italy.
If you are a consumer resident in an EU member state, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply in addition to these terms and are not displaced by this clause.
EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the updated terms, cancel your subscription before they take effect.
